During the recent D23 Expo 2022 in Anaheim, Blackfilmandtv.com correspondent Julian Cannon had the opportunity to chat with Anthony Anderson, Jonathan Groff & Patrick Dempsey on receiving the Disney Legend Award.

Disney Legends is a 35-year-old hall of fame program for people who have made a significant contribution to the Disney company.

Anthony Anderson recognized along with his Black-ish co-star Tracee Ellis Ross for their eight season run on the ABC comedy as Rainbow and Dre Johnson.

Groff, who voiced Kristoff the mountain man in two animated "Frozen" films and its TV specials, joined this Disney hall of fame with his "Frozen" co-stars Idina Menzel, Josh Gad and Kristen Bell.

Dempsey will next be seen in “DISENCHANTED,” which he stars with Amy Adams, Maya Rudolph, Gabriella Baldacchino, James Marsden, Idina Menzel, Yvette Nicole Brown and Jayma Mays. Featuring music from Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz, the musical comedy picks up 15 years after Giselle (Adams) and Robert (Dempsey) get married when their family heads to suburbia in search of happily ever after. Fans were among the first to see the first trailer of the film, which is directed by Adam Shankman, produced by Barry Josephson, Barry Sonnefeld and Adams, and features new music from the greats, Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz. “Disenchanted” streams on Disney+ beginning Nov. 24.
