Exclusive:Debra Jo Rupp Talks Playing Mrs. Hart In Marvel’s WandaVision Series
Currently playing on Disney+ is Marvel Studios’ captivating new series “WandaVision,” starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany.
“WandaVision” marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision, two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
“WandaVision,” the first Marvel Studios series created exclusively for Disney+, stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff, Paul Bettany as Vision, Kathryn Hahn as Agnes, and Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, who was introduced to audiences in “Captain Marvel.” Kat Dennings will reprise her role as Darcy from “Thor” and “Thor: The Dark World,” and Randall Park will reprise his role as Jimmy Woo from “Ant-Man and The Wasp.”
Playing Mrs. Hart, the wife to Vision’s boss (played by Fred Melamed), is sitcom legend Debra Jo Rupp. Best known for her roles as Kitty Forman on the Fox sitcom That '70s Show and Alice Knight-Buffay on the third, fourth and fifth seasons of Friends, Rupp gets to come in and bring her sitcom skill set to an episode that harkens back to the shows of the 1950s.
BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales recently spoke with Rupp about her role, working on a Marvel series, shooting in front of a live audience and whether she will come back again.
