Devotion Cast Interviews (Jonathan Majors, Christina Jackson, Thomas Sadoski, Joe Jonas, & director JD Dillard)

Now playing in theaters from Sony Pictures is the historical war epic “Devotion,” from director J.D. Dillard (“Sweetheart”) and starring Jonathan Majors (Da Five Bloods, Lovecraft Country) and Glen Powell (Hidden Figures, Top Gun: Maverick). The film is an aerial war epic based on the bestselling book of the same name.

Set in 1950, as the Cold War looms, Majors and Powell play Jesse L. Brown and Tom Hudner, elite U.S. Navy fighter pilots who form a firm friendship that is tested on the battlefield when one of them is shot down behind enemy lines. Their heroic sacrifices would ultimately make them the Navy's most celebrated wingmen.

Also cast in the film are Christina Jackson as Jesse’s wife Daisy Brown, Thomas Sadoski as Dick Cevoli, Joe Jonas as Marty Goode, and Serinda Swan as Elizabeth Taylor.

The screenplay was written by Jake Crane and Jonathan A. Stewart with revisions by Dillard and based on the book by Adam Makos.

Blackfilmandtv.com’s Wilson Morales spoke with cast members Jonathan Majors, Christina Jackson, Thomas Sadoski, Joe Jonas, and director JD Dillard on their experience making this historical and emotional film.
