Exclusive: 1923 Cast Interviews and Harrison Ford Interview
Playing on Paramount+ is “1923,” the next installment of the Dutton family origin story. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the series will introduce a new generation of Duttons led by patriarch Jacob (Harrison Ford) and matriarch Cara (Helen Mirren). The series will explore the early twentieth century when pandemics, historic drought, the end of Prohibition and the Great Depression all plague the mountain west, and the Duttons who call it home.
The cast includes Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Timothy Dalton, Brandon Sklenar, Darren Mann, Michelle Randolph, James Badge Dale, Marley Shelton, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Julia Schlaepfer, Jennifer Ehle, Leenah Robinson, Sebastian Roché, Tim DeKay, and Amelia Rico.
In addition to the Dec. 18th premiere on Paramount+, Paramount Network will also host a linear airing of the “1923” debut episode, immediately following a new episode of “Yellowstone,” as a special simulcast event.
James Badge Dale plays John Dutton Sr., the oldest nephew and right-hand man of Jacob Dutton; son of James Dutton and John Dutton III's great-grandfather. Marley Shelton is Emma Dutton, the dutiful wife of John Dutton Sr. and the mother of Jack Dutton. Darren Mann plays Jack Dutton, John Dutton Sr.’s son and great-nephew to Jacob Dutton. Michelle Randolph is Elizabeth "Liz" Strafford, a feisty and capable young woman set to marry Jack Dutton. Aminah Nieves plays Teonna, a young woman at a government residential boarding school. Jennifer Ehle is Sister Mary, an Irish nun who teaches at the school for American Indians in Montana; and Brian Geraghty plays Zane Davis, a fiercely loyal ranch foreman.
