Coming out this week from Warner Bros.’ New Line Cinema is Those Who Wish Me Dead, the thriller starring Angelina Jolie and directed by Taylor Sheridan. The film is set for release in the U.S. in theaters and on HBO Max on May 14, 2021 and will be available on HBO Max in 4K UHD, HDR10 and Dolby Atmos on supported devices for 31 days from release.

Oscar winner Angelina Jolie (Girl, Interrupted, the Maleficent films, upcoming Eternals) stars as Hannah, a smoke jumper still reeling from the loss of three lives she failed to save from a fire when she comes across a traumatized 12-year-old boy with nowhere else to turn.

The film also stars Nicholas Hoult (the X-Men films), Finn Little (Reckoning), Aiden Gillen (Game of Thrones, Peaky Blinders), Medina Senghore (Happy!), Tyler Perry (Vice, Gone Girl), Jake Weber (Midway, Homeland), and Jon Bernthal (Ford v Ferrari, Wind River).

Oscar nominee Sheridan (Hell or High WaterWind River) directed from a screenplay by Michael Koryta and Charles Leavitt and Sheridan, based on the book by Michael Koryta.

For Jolie, although the Oscar winner had a voice role in “The One and Only Ivan” and played opposite David Oyelowo in “Come Away,” this is her return to the thriller genre since she did 2010’s “The Tourist” and “Salt.” Her roles afterwards were the kid friendly franchise films “Kung Fu Panda” and “Maleficent.”

For Senghore, who plays Allison Sawyer, the pregnant wife to Jon Bernthal’s character, this is her biggest role since she got a series regular role on SYFY’s “Happy!,” where she worked opposite actor Chris Meloni.
