Exclusive: Blue Lights Season 2 interviews with Nathan Braniff, Siân Brooke, Katherine Devlin

Currently playing on BritBox is Season Two of Blue Lights, starring Nathan Braniff, Sian Brooke, Martin McCann, and Katherine Devlin.

Blue Lights is a British police procedural television drama series set in the fictional Blackthorn police station in Belfast, Northern Ireland, where the series was filmed. Created and written by Declan Lawn and Adam Patterson, it began broadcasting on BBC One on 27 March 2023. The first series followed three probationary police officers of the Police Service of Northern Ireland and the experienced officers who train, mentor, and work with them, with the second following the same characters a year later trying to quell a loyalist feud in the city. Both series of Blue Lights received critical praise and high viewership.

It's "bigger, bolder and more dramatic." Blue Lights is an authentic, gripping and darkly funny drama about ordinary people doing an extraordinary job in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Grace, Annie and Tommy are growing up fast as police officers, but nothing can prepare them for the turmoil they face every day. It’s a year since the fall of the McIntyre crime gang and the vacuum has been filled by rival gangs, all competing for dominance.

Constable Shane Bradley is drafted in to help, but his motivations are unclear. Tommy is dangerously seduced by the world of intelligence policing, while Grace struggles to deal with her son’s absence, and growing feelings for fellow officer Stevie. As a young military veteran turned gang leader threatens to take over the city, the officers face a major gangland feud – culminating in a violent and devastating confrontation.

Blackfilmandtv.com's Wilson Morales talks to Nathan Braniff, Siân Brooke, Katherine Devlin about BritBox's Blue Lights Season 2.
