Hitting Netflix on April 9 is their upcoming action comedy film Thunder Force, written and directed by Ben Falcone and starring Melissa McCarthy and Octavia Spencer. Produced by Marc Platt, Adam Siegel, Ben Falcone, and Melissa McCarthy, the film also features Bobby Cannavale, Pom Klementieff, Kevin Dunn, Melissa Leo, and Jason Bateman. Thunder Force hits Netflix on April 9.

McCarthy and Spencer play Lydia and Emily, former best friends who suddenly gained superpowers through the magic of science. As they become unlikely superheroes, the two of them must band together to stop criminals and super-villains from terrorizing the world.

In a world terrorized by super-villains, one woman has developed the process to give superpowers to regular people. But when scientist Emily Stanton accidentally imbues her estranged best-friend with incredible abilities, the two women must become the first superhero team. Now, it is up to Thunder Force to battle the super-powered Miscreants and save Chicago from the clutches of The King.

BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales recently spoke with Bobby Cannavale and Pom Klementieff, on playing the villains in the films. For Cannavale, he recently worked with McCarthy in the comedy Superintellence and for Klementieff, who’s best known as Mantle in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers films, she gets to wear a different set of makeup in this film.
