Exclusive: Catalina Sandino Moreno, Harold Perrineau, and Eion Bailey talk EPIX horror series FROM

Now airing on Sundays is the horror series From, which premiered on February 20.

Created and executive produced by John Griffin (Crater), directed and executive produced by Jack Bender (LostGame of ThronesMr. Mercedes), and executive produced by Showrunner Jeff Pinkner (FringeAliasLost), FROM features a stellar ensemble cast led by Harold Perrineau (Lost).

The series unravels the mystery of a nightmarish town that traps all those who enter. As the unwilling residents fight to keep a sense of normalcy and search for a way out, they must also survive the threats of the surrounding forest – including the terrifying creatures that come out when the sun goes down.

In addition to Perrineau, the cast includes Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace, The Affair), Eion Bailey (Band of BrothersOnce Upon a Time), Hannah Cheramy, Simon Webster, Ricky He (The Good Doctor), Chloe Van Landschoot, Shaun Majumder, Corteon Moore (Utopia Falls), Pegah Ghafoori, David Alpay (Castle Rock), Elizabeth Saunders (Clarice), Elizabeth Moy and Avery Konrad.

In Episode 1 - The Matthews’ family road trip takes a horrifying turn when they are detoured to a small pastoral town from which they cannot leave. When their family RV crashes, Sheriff Boyd Stevens and other residents rush to save them before the sun goes down.

Best known for the title character in the critically-acclaimed film, Maria Full of Grace, for which her performance garnered her Best Actress Academy Awards nomination, Catalina Sandino Moreno (who plays Tabitha Matthews) recently starred in the independent feature The Quarry opposite Michael Shannon and Shea Wigham and will soon be seen in the independent feature Barbarians opposite Iwan Rheon and Tom Cullen. Her previous TV and film credits include The Affair, Incarnate, Custody, A Most Violent Year and The Bridge.

Perrineau (who plays Boyd Stevens) made his mark on TV starring as ‘Augustus Hill’ in HBO’s groundbreaking series OZ, and as ‘Michael Dawson’ in ABC’s LOST. He recently Harold played the role of ‘Dean Simms’ in the TNT series CLAWS, which earned him a 2020 NAACP Image Award for ‘Best Supporting Actor.’ He will next be seen reprising his role as ‘Julian March’ in Peacock’s 10-episode limited dramedy series THE BEST MAN: THE FINAL CHAPTERS, the next installment of Universal’s hit THE BEST MAN film franchise. His film credits include ROMEO & JULIET, THE EDGE, The Wachowski’s THE MATRIX TRILOGY, and Kathryn Bigelow’s Oscar nominated, ZERO DARK THIRTY,

Bailey is best known for his breakout performance in the critically acclaimed HBO miniseries Band of Brothers from executive producers Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks. Bailey recently co-starred opposite Liev Schreiber in the Showtime series Ray Donovan and for years was a fan favorite on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Currently Eion can be seen in the Stephen King limited series The Stand, streaming on CBS All Access and Amazon Prime.
