Exclusive: David Jonsson, Morfydd Clark talk BritBox's Agatha Christie’s Murder Is Easy

Hitting BritBox on March 1 is the two-part series Agatha Christie’s Murder Is Easy, based on the classic Agatha Christie mystery. Directed by Meenu Gaur from a script written by Siân Ejiwunmi-Le Berre, the ensemble cast includes David Jonsson, Morfydd Clark, Penelope Wilton, Sinéad Matthews, Tom Riley, Douglas Henshall, Mathew Baynton, Mark Bonnar, Nimra Bucha, Phoebe Licorish, Jon Pointing, Tamzin Outhwaite, Kathryn Howden, Demmy Ladipo and Gloria Obianyo.

Agatha Christie’s Murder Is Easy tells the story of Luke Fitzwilliam who finds himself on the trail of a serial killer after meeting Miss Pinkerton on a train to London. She tells him about a series of suspicious deaths that have taken place in her village. When she later turns up dead herself – while on the way to visit Scotland Yard – Fitzwilliam realizes he needs to find the killer before yet more bodies start piling up. The two-part series features Penelope Wilton (Downton Abbey), Morfydd Clark (Lord of the Rings, Saint Maud), and Douglas Henshall (Shetland).

Jonsson recently starred in the UK romantic comedy Rye Lane, which premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival. He made his TV debut in ITV crime drama Endeavour, then scored a recurring role in Fox thriller Deep State, followed by two seasons of HBO/BBC banking drama Industry.

Clark currently stars as Galadriel in Amazon Prime’s series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. Clark is known for her film roles as Maud in Saint Maud for which she was nominated for a BAFTA, Dora Spenlow in The Personal History of David Copperfield, and in television as Mina Harker in Dracula.
