Tyler Perry’s Beauty in Black follows two women leading very different lives. While Kimmie is struggling to make a living after her mother kicked her out, and Mallory is running a successful business, they find themselves entangled in each other’s lives.
Morgan plays Olivia, another one of the leads in the series. She seems to be one of the only voices of reason in the midst of the ongoing drama, but she may have some twisted secrets of her own.
Debbi Morgan starred in Perry’s latest romantic thriller, Divorce in the Black and is a decorated actress with over 50 film and television credits. Morgan previously starred in “Power Book II: Ghost,” “Our Kind of People,” “Fantasy Island” and “Bigger.” She is best known for her role as Angie Baxter-Hubbard on the long-running ABC soap opera All My Children. Morgan became the first African American to win the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series when she won the award for playing Angie in 1989. On film, Morgan earned acclaim for her roles in Eve’s Bayou, The Hurricane, and Love & Basketball.
