Exclusive: Director Guy Ritchie & Jason Statham Talk Action Thriller ‘Wrath of Man’
Coming out this week from MGM is director Guy Ritchie’s action thriller Wrath of Man, reuniting the filmmaker with Jason Statham. The film hits theaters on May 7.
Based on the 2004 French film titled Le Convoyeur or Cash Truck, a mysterious and wild-eyed new cash truck security guard (Jason Statham) surprises his coworkers during a heist in which he unexpectedly unleashes precision skills. The crew is left wondering who he is and where he came from. Soon, the marksman’s ultimate motive becomes clear as he takes dramatic and irrevocable steps to settle a score.
Alongside Statham, the cast includes Holt McCallany, Jeffrey Donovan, Josh Hartnett, Laz Alonzo, Raúl Castillo, Deobia Oparei with Eddie Marsan and Scott Eastwood.
This project marks the latest collaboration between Ritchie and Statham, who have previously worked together on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, and Revolver.
