Exclusive: Dreamgirls' Jennifer Holliday talks being unmasked as Miss Teddy on The Masked Singer

On the most recent episode of The Masked Singer from Season 7, the identity of Miss Teddy was revealed and it turned out to be Tony Award winner and Grammy Award winner, Jennifer Holliday.

In a battle between Armadillo, Miss Teddy, and Ringmaster in which songs such as "Mercy" by Duffy, Armadillo's take on "Amazing Grace," "I Will Always Love You" by Dolly Parton, and Blondie's "One Way or Another" were sang, one had to go home and when Nick Cannon announced that Armadillo was to first to go, it turned out to be Duane Chapman, a.k.a. Dog the Bounty Hunter. When it was left between the other two and Miss Teddy was next to go, it was a surprise (as always) that it turned out to be Miss Holliday.

Holliday is best known for her debut single, the Dreamgirls number and rhythm-and-blues/pop hit, "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going", for which she won a Grammy in 1983. She also won a 1982 Tony Award for Dreamgirls.

While speaking with Blackfilmandtv.com’s Wilson Morales, Holliday talked about her experience on the show and her most recent singer, which she is self distributing.
