Exclusive: Eiza González, Aaron Paul, and Director Flying Lotus talk sci-fi Ash
Hitting theaters on March 21 from RLJE is the sci-fi thriller Ash, directed by Flying Lotus and starring Eiza González, Aaron Paul, Iko Uwais, Kate Elliott, Beulah Koale, and Flying Lotus.
On the mysterious planet of Ash, Riya (Eiza González) awakens to find her crew slaughtered. When a man named Brion (Aaron Paul) arrives to rescue her, an ordeal of psychological and physical terror ensues while Riya and Brion must decide if they can trust one another to survive.
The screenplay is written by Swiss writer Jonni Remmler (Das Quartett series). It's produced by Nate Bolotin and Matthew Metcalfe.
Paul recently starred in Sundance sci-fi Dual, and is best known for ACM’s Breaking Bad and HBO’s Westworld.
González, known for her roles in Baby Driver and Ambulance, was recently seen in the Netflix series Three Body Problem for Netflix and in Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare from Guy Ritchie and Jerry Bruckheimer.
Grammy winner Flying Lotus (originally named Steven D. Bingley-Ellison) has six albums under his belt and made his feature directorial debut on Sundance movie Kuso. He executive-produced and scored Netflix anime series Yasuke, starring LaKeith Stanfield, and he wrote, directed and scored a segment for the latest installment of the anthology franchise V/H/S/99.
