Exclusive: Faith Hill and Isabel May talk Yellowstone prequel ‘1883’ and working with Tim McGraw
Currently playing on the Paramount Network is the “Yellowstone” Prequel “1883,” created by Academy Award Nominee Taylor Sheridan.
1883 follows the Dutton family as they embark on a journey west through the Great Plains toward the last bastion of untamed America. It is a stark retelling of Western expansion, and an intense study of one family fleeing poverty to seek a better future in America’s promised land – Montana.
Academy Award® nominee legend Sam Elliott, Grammy Award® Winner Tim McGraw, Grammy Award Winner Faith Hill, Academy Award winner Billy Bob Thornton, Isabel May and LaMonica Garrett.
Although she’s well-known in the music world for the million of albums she’s sold, awards that she’s won and being married to co-star and fellow award winner Tim McGraw, Faith Hill has had acting credits for over 20 years. From the TV show Touched By An Angel, her film debut in The Stepford Wives and Dixieland, 1883 is her biggest role to date as she plays Margaret Dutton, John Dutton's great-grandmother and the matriarch of the family.
Prior to 1883, May starred as Katie Cooper on the Netflix series Alexa & Katie and has a recurring role as Veronica Duncan on the CBS series Young Sheldon. In 1883, she plays Elsa Dutton, James and Margaret Dutton's 17-year old daughter and oldest child.
BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales recently spoke with Hill and May about their roles and Hill getting to work with husband Tim McGraw.
