Exclusive: Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace talk Ghostbusters: Afterlife

Now in theaters from Sony Pictures is Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe from director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman.

In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

The movie stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd. Coon plays a mom named Callie, with Grace as her science-obsessed daughter Phoebe, and Wolfhard as gearhead son Trevor.

Phoebe and Trevor’s school teacher, Mr. Grooberson (played by Rudd), was a kid when the Manhattan Crossrip occurred and is excited to pass on what he knows.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson will return as Ghostbusters Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, and Winston Zeddemore, with Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts coming back as Dana Barrett and as Janine Melnitz respectively.

Wolfhard is best known for his role as Mike Wheeler in the Netflix series Stranger Things and as Richie Tozier in the film adaptation of Stephen King's horror novel It (2017) and its sequel It: Chapter Two. At the age of 15, Grace has appeared in several films and TV series such as Designated Survivor, I, Tonya, Captain Marvel, Annabelle Comes Home and The Handmaid's Tale.

BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales caught up with Wolfhard and Grace as they spoke about their roles and being part of this well-like franchise.
