Exclusive: Jamie Foxx and Dominique Fishback On How To Best Use Their ‘Project Power’
Coming out this week on Netflix is the action packed film ‘Project Power,’ starring Academy Award winner Jamie Foxx, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Dominique Fishback, and Rodrigo Santoro.
Directed by Henry Joost & Ariel Schulman, Project Power also stars Colson Baker, Allen Maldonado, Amy Landecker, and Courtney B. Vance.
For Fishback, who is best known for her roles on HBO’s The Deuce and supporting roles in the film The Hate You Give and HBO’s Random Acts of Flyness, this is her first big role since she had a leading role in the 2018 indie film Night Comes On. Foxx is no stranger to this genre, having had his share of action films from Sleepless, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, White House Down, and The Kingdom to name a few.
In speaking with BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales, Foxx and Fishback talked about what each would do if they had five minutes of power.
On the streets of New Orleans, word begins to spread about a mysterious new pill that unlocks superpowers unique to each user. The catch: You don’t know what will happen until you take it. While some develop bulletproof skin, invisibility, and super strength, others exhibit a deadlier reaction. But when the pill escalates crime within the city to dangerous levels, a local cop (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) teams with a teenage dealer (Dominique Fishback) and a former soldier fueled by a secret vendetta (Jamie Foxx) to fight power with power and risk taking the pill in order to track down and stop the group responsible for creating it.
