Exclusive: Jazz Raycole talks The Lincoln Lawyer Season 2, Part 1

Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo), an iconoclastic idealist, runs his law practice out of the back seat of his Lincoln, as he takes on cases big and small across the expansive city of Los Angeles. Based on the series of bestselling novels by renowned author Michael Connelly, the second season is based on the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Fifth Witness.
The series also stars Neve Campbell, Becki Newton, Jazz Raycole and Angus Sampson.
The show follows Mickey Haller (Manuel Garcia-Rulfo) a defense attorney who is known for avoiding his office and battling an opioid addiction after a near-fatal surfing accident. Mickey is dragged back into the courtroom after another defense attorney is murdered and wills his entire practice to him.
Raycole plays Izzy, an ex-dancer who recovered from a drug addiction and bonds with Mickey from the start. She becomes not only his driver, but right-hand woman and confidant as Mickey offers her a second chance at life.
Raycole was recently seen in the NBC/Jerry Bruckheimer drama series “Council of Dads,” and is often recognized from her breakout role as Allison Hawkin in the post-apocalyptic drama “Jericho.” Additional credits include starring opposite Niecy Nash and Cedric the Entertainer as Lyric Ballentine on the TV Land sitcom “The Soul Man,” appearing opposite Tony Award winner Anika Noni Rose on BET’s “The Quad,” appearing as Stanley Hudson’s daughter on the “The Office,” and holding roles in “Vanity,” “Everybody Hates Chris,” “Bones,” “Rizzoli & Isles,” “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “New Girl,” “Suburgatory,” “Monk,” “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend,” and “My Wife and Kids.”
