Exclusive: Jeremy Renner talks Mayor of Kingstown Season 3 & the chaos in Mike McLusky's orbit

Hitting Paramount+ on June 2 is the third season of Mayor of Kingstown, executive produced and starring Jeremy Renner as Mike McLusky.

In season three, a series of explosions rock Kingstown and its citizens, as a new face of the Russian mob sets up shop in the city, and a drug war rages inside and outside prison walls. The pressure is on Mike McLusky (Jeremy Renner) to end the war but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to undermine the Mayor’s attempts to keep the peace among all factions.

In addition to Renner, MAYOR OF KINGSTOWN stars an impressive ensemble cast, including series regulars Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley, Emma Laird, Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Nishi Munshi, Hamish Allan-Headley, Necar Zadegan, Nichole Galicia and Michael Beach.

The series is executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, Hugh Dillon, Jeremy Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson, Regina Corrado, Christoph Schrewe and Keith Cox.

It’s worth noting that in January 2023 Renner was hospitalized after suffering blunt chest trauma and 30 broken bones after being hit by a snowcat. The accident took him three months to recover. Among his notable acting credits, he received Academy Award nominations for Best Actor for his performance as a soldier in The Hurt Locker (2009) and for Best Supporting Actor for playing a hot-headed robber in The Town (2010). He’s also known for playing Clint Barton / Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including in The Avengers (2012) and in the Disney+ miniseries Hawkeye (2021).
