Exclusive: Jesse Plemons & Jessie Buckley On Starring In Charlie Kaufman’s ‘I’m Thinking Of Ending Things’
Now playing on Netflix is the psychological horror film I’m Thinking Of Ending Things, directed and written by Academy Award winner Charlie Kaufman (ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND) and inspired by Iain Reid's bestselling namesake novel.
Despite second thoughts about their relationship, a young woman (Jessie Buckley) takes a road trip with her new boyfriend (Jesse Plemons) to his family farm. Trapped at the farm during a snowstorm with Jake’s mother (Toni Collette) and father (David Thewlis), the young woman begins to question the nature of everything she knew or understood about her boyfriend, herself, and the world.
Best known for his TV roles on Friday Night Lights and Breaking Bad, Jesse Plemons has started to shine on the film world with performances on big projects such as Black Mass, The Post, Vice, The Irishman, and more recently El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie. Upcoming roles include Jungle Cruise and Judas and the Black Messiah.
Buckley had a breakout role in the critically acclaimed Wild Rose and then followed it with another stellar performance in Judy, which netted her co-star Renee Zellweger an Oscar for Best Actress. She was recently seen in Misbehaviour opposite Keira Knightley and Gugu Mbatha-Raw.
Both Plemons and Buckley spoke exclusively with BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales about being in Kaufman’s film and for Buckley, reciting a film review from famed film critic Pauline Kael.
