Exclusive: Joanne Froggatt & Phyllis Logan talk Downton Abbey: A New Era

Currently in theaters is Downton Abbey: A New Era, the sequel to the 2019 film Downton Abbey. Directed by Simon Curtis from a script written by Julian Fellowes, the cast includes Hugh Bonneville, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Raquel Cassidy, Brendan Coyle, Michelle Dockery, Kevin Doyle, Joanne Froggatt, Michael Fox, Harry Hadden-Paton, Robert James-Collier, Allen Leech, Phyllis Logan, Elizabeth McGovern, Sophie McShera, Tuppence Middleton, Lesley Nicol, Douglas Reith, Maggie Smith, Imelda Staunton, Penelope Wilton, Hugh Dancy, Laura Haddock, Nathalie Baye, Dominic West and Jonathan Zaccaï.

From award-winning creator Julian Fellowes comes the motion picture event DOWNTON ABBEY: A NEWERA. The much-anticipated cinematic return of the global phenomenon reunites the beloved cast as they go on a grand journey to the South of France to uncover the mystery of the Dowager Countess’ newly inherited villa.

Froggatt returns to play Anna Smith; head housemaid, while Logan is Elsie Hughes; the Housekeeper. For her performance, Froggatt received three Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series, and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress on Television in 2014. She recently starred in the six-part thriller series Angela Black.

Logan has appeared in numerous TV shows and films whose credits include Secrets & Lies, Misbehaviour, and Last Train To Christmas.
