Exclusive: Real-life couple Leslie Odom Jr. & Nicolette Robinson Talk Freeform’s ‘Love in the Time of Corona’
Airing this week from Freeform is Love in the Time of Corona. This four-part limited series will air in a two-night event on August 22 and August 23. Two episodes will air each night.
The series stars Leslie Odom Jr., Nicolette Robinson, Tommy Dorfman, Rainey Qualley, Gil Bellows, Rya Kihlstedt, Ava Bellows, L. Scott Caldwell and Charlie Robinson.
The series is from executive producers Joanna Johnson, Christine Sacani, and Anonymous Content’s Robyn Meisinge.
Filmed using remote technologies and shot in the talents’ actual homes, the series follows four interwoven stories about the hopeful search for love and connection during this time of quarantine.
Real-life couple Leslie Odom Jr. and Nicolette Robinson, who also serve as executive producers on the project, portray James and Sade, a couple who have been living somewhat separate lives: He has a busy career that keeps him on the road, and she is at home raising their daughter. Once the pandemic puts them under one roof, their time together leads them to reevaluate their relationship and their priorities.
Odom Jr. is best known for his Tony Award-winning role as Aaron Burr in the Tony Award-winning musical Hamilton. He’s also appeared in Red Tails, Murder on the Orient Express, Harriet, Only and the forthcoming One Night in Miami, directed by Regina King. Robinson is known for her role as Jane in the television show The Affair and Jenna in the stage musical Waitress, the latter of which marked her debut on Broadway
