Directed by Paul Weitz and written by Weitz and Dana Stevens. The film also stars Alfre Woodard, Lil Rel Howery, DeWanda Wise, Frankie R. Faison, Anthony Carrigan, Paul Reiser, Melody Hurd and Deborah Ayorinde. The film is based on the book Two Kisses for Maddy: A Memoir of Loss & Love by Matthew Logelin.

In this heartwarming, funny and emotional true story, Kevin Hart stars as a widower taking on one of the toughest jobs in the world: fatherhood.

BlackFilmandTV.com’s Wilson Morales recently spoke with Lil Rel Howey and DeWanda Wise, who plays Hart’s best friend and love interest in the film, respectively. Howery is known for his film roles in Get Out, Bird Box, Uncle Drew, Brittany Runs a Marathon, The Photograph, and Judas and the Black Messiah. Wise starred in Spike Lee's Netflix comedy-drama series She's Gotta Have It (2017–19), a contemporary updating of his 1986 film.
