Exclusive: Lupita Nyong'o and Joseph Quinn talk A Quiet Place: Day One

Coming to theaters on June 28 from Paramount Pictures is the horror thriller A Quiet Place: Day One, the third installment in the franchise and a prequel to the previous two films. Directed by Michael Sarnoski, the film stars Academy Award winner Lupita Nyong’o, Joseph QuinnAlex Wolff, and Djimon Hounsou, reprising his role from A Quiet Place Part II (2020).

A Quiet Place: Day One is a post-apocalyptic horror prequel - taking place at the beginning of it all before the original A Quiet Place (2018) film. a woman named Sam (starring Lupita Nyong'o) on a day trip to the city must survive an invasion in New York of bloodthirsty alien creatures with ultrasonic sound hearing. 

The screenplay is also written by Michael Sarnoski, from a story by John Krasinski and Michael Sarnoski. Based on characters created by Bryan Woods & Scott Beck (for the original A Quiet Place from 2018). It's produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, and John Krasinski

Nyong’o, who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Steve McQueen’s 12 Years a Slave, was last seen in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Her previous film credits include The 355, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Jordan Peele’s Us, Little Monsters, Black Panther, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Queen of Katwe.

Quinn earned rave reviews for his role as Eddie Munson in the record breaking fourth season of the hit Netflix series Stranger Things. He was also seen in BBC One’s Howards End limited series as well as BBC One’s Les Miserables.
