Exclusive: Meagan Good & Cory Hardrict talk Tyler Perry’s Divorce In The Black

Hitting Prime Video on July 11 is Divorce In The Black, written, directed, and produced by Tyler Perry and starring Meagan Good, Cory HardrictJoseph Lee Anderson, Taylor Polidore, Shannon Wallace, Richard Lawson, and Debbi Morgan.

Ava, a young bank professional is devastated when her husband Dallas abandons a marriage she is determined to fight for until fate intervenes, revealing Dallas’ wicked deeds that have trashed their marriage, and once upon a time sabotaged Ava’s destiny to be loved by her true soulmate.

In addition to Perry via Tyler Perry Studios, producers include Tyler Perry Studios’ Angi Bones and Will Areu; and Dianne Ashford.

Good currently toplines Prime Video‘s comedy series Harlem, which was renewed for a third season. A veteran of many films and TV series, some of most recent projects include Buying Back My Daughter, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Prodigal Son, Star, Day Shift, Death Saved My Life, Think Like a Man and its sequel, Minority Report, Monster Hunter, Don Jon and If Not Now, When?, where she also served as director and producer. Not only is Good a producer on Divorce In The Black, but she also reunites with Debbi Morgan after playing mother and daughter in Kasi Lemmons’ Eve’s Bayou over 20 years ago.

Hardrict currently stars as Coach Marcus Turner on The CW’s All American: Homecoming, which began its third and final season recently. Hardrict also recurs on the Showtime/ Paramount+ series The Chi. His most recent TV and film credits include Young. Wild. Free., the Sundance 2023 films To Live and Die and Live, The Outpost, City of Lies, All Eyes on Me, Spectral, Brotherly Love, American Sniper and Battle: Los Angeles.
