Exclusive: Novocaine cast interviews with Jack Quaid, Amber Midthunder, Jacob Batalon, Ray Nicholson, and more

Hitting theaters on March 14 from Paramount Pictures is the action comedy Novocaine, directed by Dan Berk & Robert Olsen and starring Jack Quaid, Amber MidthunderRay NicholsonBetty GabrielMatt WalshLou Beatty Jr.Van HengstConrad Kemp, and Jacob Batalon.

Quaid plays a sheltered bank executive named Nathan Caine, who has a rare genetic condition called CIPA (Congenital Insensitivity to Pain) that prevents him from feeling physical pain when he is enduring it. When his bank is robbed and one of his co-workers and new beau (Amber Midthunder) kidnapped, he has to act and finds his greatest liability becomes his greatest strength. I

Quaid was recently seen in the black comedy Companion and was seen in Christopher Nolan’s Oscar winner Oppenheimer as well as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and Scream. When not seen on the big screen, he continues to shine as vigilante Hughie Campbell in Prime Video satirical superhero series The Boys.

Midthunder starred in the as Naru in 2022’s Prey, the fifth installment and first prequel of the Predator franchise. She had regular roles in the FX series Legion and The CW series Roswell, New Mexico, and also appeared on Longmire, Banshee, and Reservation Dogs.

Batalon is best known for playing Ned Leeds in Marvel Studios and Sony’s “Spider-Man” movies. In October 2022, Batalon made his debut as executive producer and lead star as the titular character Reginald Baskin in Syfy’s Reginald the Vampire, a dramedy based on Johnny B. Truant’s “Fat Vampire” book series.

Nicholson most recently starred in Smile 2, I Love You Forever. and Gonzo Girl opposite Willem Dafoe and Sean Penn. He starred alongside Zoey Deutch in “Something From Tiffany’s” for Amazon.
