Exclusive: Temuera Morrison & Ming-Na Wen talk Disney+ series The Book of Boba Fett

Currently airing on Disney+ is The Book of Boba Fett, starring Temuera Morrison and Ming-Na Wen. Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Robert Rodriguez, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson are the executive producers. Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serve as co-executive producers, with John Bartnicki producing and John Hampian as co-producer.

“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

Boba Fett first entered the Star Wars universe in 1980’s “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.” Jeremy Bulloch, the original actor who played Boba, passed away in 2020. Morrison began his time in the “Star Wars” universe in the prequel film “Stars Wars: Attack of the Clones,” playing the role of Jango Fett. Jango was used to create the clone army of the Republic, thus Morrison would return to “Star Wars” in the film “Revenge of the Sith” as a number of clone troopers. He also lent his voice to multiple “Star Wars” games before returning as Boba in Season 2 of “The Mandalorian” to great fan acclaim. Morrison has also starred in Once Were Warriors and its 1999 sequel What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?, Disney's Moana and as Arthur Curry's father Thomas in Aquaman.

Wen, best known for her starring role as Fa Mulan in the animated musical action films Mulan and Mulan II, and as Melinda May / The Cavalry in the ABC superhero drama series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., first played her character in Season 1 of “The Mandalorian” and provided the character’s voice in the animated series “Star Wars: The Bad Batch.”

Blackfilmandtv.com’s Wilson Morales recently caught up with Morrison and Wen as they spoke about being fan favorites to now starring in their own series.
