Exclusive: The Brutalist cast interviews with Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones and Guy Pearce
Hitting theaters this week (Dec. 20) from A24 is The Brutalist. Made by director Brady Corbet, co-written by Brady Corbet & Mona Fastvold, the film stars Adrien Brody as László, Felicity Jones, Guy Pearce, Joe Alwyn, Raffey Cassidy, Stacy Martin, Emma Laird, with Isaach De Bankolé.
Escaping post-war Europe, visionary architect László Toth arrives in America to rebuild his life, his work, and his marriage to his wife Erzsébet after being forced apart during wartime by shifting borders and regimes. On his own in a strange new country, László settles in Pennsylvania, where the wealthy and prominent industrialist Harrison Lee Van Buren recognizes his talent for building. But power and legacy come at a heavy cost...

Most recently, Brody starred in John Trengove’s first English-language thriller, MAN- ODROME, and Wes Anderson’s ASTEROID CITY/ He also starred in the second season of HBO’s drama series, WINNING TIME: THE RISE OF THE LAKERS DYNASTY, about the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1980s. He guest-starred in Rian Johnson’s new crime-drama series POKER FACE for Peacock and Dexter Fletcher’s GHOSTED for Apple TV+. He won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of real-life Holocaust survivor Wladislaw Szpilman in THE PIANIST, making him, to date, the youngest person to have received the Oscar in that category.
Felicity Jones is best known for her Academy Award, BAFTA, SAG and Golden Globe-nominated starring role opposite Eddie Redmayne in James Marsh’s THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING. Next up, she is set to star in TRAIN DREAMS opposite Joel Edgerton from director Clint Bentley and will also star in Michael Showalter’s holiday comedy OH. WHAT. FUN. for Amazon MGM Studios opposite Michelle Pfeiffer, Chloë Grace Moretz and Dominic Sessa.
Guy Pearce's career has spanned nearly four decades in film, television and theatre, both in Australia and internationally. Best known for his breakout role in the critically acclaimed L.A. CONFIDENTIAL star- ring alongside Russell Crowe, Danny de Vito and Kim Bassinger, Pearce can soon be seen in David Cronenberg's psychological thriller THE SHROUDS with Vincent Cassel and Diane Kruger; Lee Tamahori's THE CONVERT; Charles Wil- liams' powerful prison drama INSIDE, with Cosmo Jarvis; and Ned Crowley's western KILLING FAITH, with Tim Roth and Dewanda Wise.
