This animated comedy stars Grammy Award winner singer / songwriter Brittany Howard as the voice of Thelma, along with Will Forte, Jemaine Clement, Edi Patterson, Maliaka Mitchell, Ally Dixon, Fred Armisen, Zach Galifianakis, and Jon Heder.

Howard is rose to prominence in the early 2010s for being the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and the primary songwriter of Alabama Shakes. Before going solo, her work with Alabama Shakes garnered her four Grammy Awards (including Best Alternative Music Album).
Jared Hess is the director of Napoleon Dynamite, Nacho Libre, Gentlemen Broncos, Don Verdean, Masterminds, "Murder Among the Mormons", and Ninety-Five Senses. Lynn Wang makes feature directorial debut after the "Unikitty!" series + work on "Star vs. the Forces of Evil" and other series.
