Power Book II: Ghost Actress Andrea Lee Christensen On Playing Riley Riley Saxe-Merchant
Right before Starz’s hit series Power Book II: Ghost went on its mid-season break, audiences were introduced to Andrea Lee Christensen, who plays Riley Saxe-Merchant. Riley is the niece to Cooper Saxe, the current U.S. District Attorney.
From the episodes shown so far, Riley seems prone to mischief with her uncle ready to get her out whatever jam she is in. As a way to repay him, she’s offered to help him in spying against her current boyfriend’s roommate, Tariq St. Patrick (Michael Rainey Jr). Tariq’s mom is in jail for the murder of James “Ghost” St. Patrick and Cooper knows that Tariq is the actual killer.
For Christensen, it’s her first big role to date. Just about everyone who has a recurring role on the series gets a boost in their career. The series is very popular with audiences and does well in the ratings department. “Power Book II: Ghost” became the most-watched new series in the network’s history with multiplatform views in its debut week and has already been renewed for a second season.
BlackFilmandTV.com recently caught up with Christensen as she talked about getting the role, playing Riley and working with this incredible ensemble.
