Reel Works’ Christiamilda Correa, Joey Cheng Discuss Town Hall Inclusion In The Media Event

On March 31st from 6:30 - 8:00 PM EST, there will be a virtual Town Hall about "Inclusion in Media" on with not only some of the Ambassadors from the program but also Vella Lovell, who is currently starring in NBC's "Mr. Mayor".

Reel Works is a NY based youth media and workforce readiness program that matches teens with professional filmmaker-mentors. Based in New York, this year marks their 20th anniversary and their organization has now pivoted during the pandemic to go virtually. They are able to train and mentor a diverse group of BIPOC early career professionals all over the country.

The 20th Annual Benefit Gala (May 26) is a fundraiser for the organization, and also a chance to honor industry leaders who are paving the way in terms of diversity and representation. Previous honorees include “Black Panther” director Ryan Coogler, Danai Gurira and Gabourey Sidibe.
