Amazon In Talks To Pick Up Michael B. Jordan’s ‘Without Remorse’ From Paramount
According to Variety, Paramount is finalizing a deal to move its adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Without Remorse to Amazon Studios. The film stars Michael B. Jordan, Jodie Smith-Turner and Jamie Bell with Stefano Sollima directing. Taylor Sheridan wrote the script. Skydance is co-financier the project. The film was originally scheduled to be released by Paramount and Skydance on Feb. 26, 2021.
Also featured in the film are Luke Mitchell, Jack Kesy, Brett Gelman, and Colman Domingo.
Jordan is starring as operations officer John Clark, also known as John Terrence Kelly, a former Navy SEAL who goes to work for the CIA.
Akiva Goldsman produced the film and also wrote the screenplay. Jordan also produced with Josh Appelbaum, Corin Nemec, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger.
This marks the third film that Paramount has offloaded its worldwide rights since the pandemic crisis. They sold to Netflix the Issa Rae film The Lovebirds as well as Aaron Sorkin’s The Trial of the Chicago 7.
For Amazon, it would be a second but different Tom Clancy production it has. Amazon Prime currently has the ‘Jack Ryan’ series starring John Krasinski.
