Bob Marley: One Love Moves From Jan 12th release date to Valentine’s Day 2024
Paramount Pictures has moved the released date to Bob Marley: One Love, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green and starring Kingsley Ben-Adir, Lashana Lynch, James Norton, Tosin Cole, Anthony Welsh, Michael Gandolfini, Umi Myers, and Nadine Marsha.
Originally set to come out on Jan 12th, 2024 with hopes that it would get a qualifying Oscar run in December, the film will now be released on Feb. 12th, 2024. The change also avoids it competing with Jeymes Samuel’s The Book of Clarence, which releases on Jan 12.
Produced in partnership with the Marley family (his son, Ziggy Marley, his wife, Rita Marley, and his daughter, Cedella Marley on behalf of Tuff Gong). the film stars Kingsley Ben-Adir as the legendary musician and Lashana Lynch as his wife Rita.
BOB MARLEY: ONE LOVE celebrates the life and music of an icon who inspired generations through his message of love and unity. On the big screen for the first time, discover Bob’s powerful story of overcoming adversity and the journey behind his revolutionary music.
Considered the pioneer of reggae music, Marley, a native of Jamaica, began performing in 1963 with The Wailers. He went solo more than a decade later in 1974 and had a profound impact on the music landscape before he died of cancer in 1981 at the age of 36. Some of his biggest hits include “Jammin,” “Stir It Up,” “Get Up, Stand Up,” “Buffalo Soldier” and “Redemption Song.”
Producers also include Robert Teitel, Brad Pitt, Jeremy Kleiner, and Dede Gardner.
