Sony Pictures has released character posters for The Garfield Movie by Mark Dindal, director of the movies Cats Don't Dance, The Emperor's New Groove, and Chicken Little. The film features the voices of Samuel L. Jackson, Nicholas Hoult, Cecily Strong, Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, Bowen Yang, and Ving Rhames. The film hits theaters on May 24th, 2024.
Garfield (voiced by Chris Pratt), the world-famous, Monday-hating, lasagna-loving indoor cat, is about to have a wild outdoor adventure! After an unexpected reunion with his long-lost father – scruffy street cat Vic (voiced by Samuel L. Jackson) – Garfield and his canine friend Odie are forced from their perfectly pampered life into joining Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist.
The screenplay is written by Paul A. Kaplan & Mark Torgove and David Reynolds. Based on the Garfield characters originally created by Jim Davis. Produced by John Cohen, Broderick Johnson, Andrew A. Kosove, Steven P. Wegner, Craig Sost, Namit Malhotra, and Crosby Clyse.
