Exclusive Clip to Coke Daniels’ The Waterboyz
Blackfilmandtv.com has been provided with an exclusive clip from Quiver Distribution to director Coke Daniels’ The Waterboyz, which hits theaters on Sept. 13.
Written and directed by Coke Daniels, the cast includes Quavo, La La Anthony, Omar Dorsey, and Rockmund Dunbar. The film landed Daniels the Best Director award at the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), where THE WATERBOYZ held its world premiere.
The Waterboyz takes place in the heat of Atlanta's streets, where Drew's college dreams clash with the gritty reality of street vending, alongside his best friend Dolo, who's got simpler dreams of cars and girls. When their corner hustle draws dangerous attention from both gangs and cops, Drew is faced with a choice: the quick money of the streets or the long game towards a better life.
The film was produced by Coke Daniels, Dolapo Erinkitola, Errol Sadler, Cameron S. Mitchell, Tirrell D. Whittley, Coach K., Ben Crump, Pee Thomas, John Doherty and Brian Sher, and Erica Hamilton.
