Shout! Studios Picks Up Thriller ‘The Wasp’ Starring Naomie Harris and Natalie Dormer
Deadline reports Shout! Studios has acquired all North American rights to The Wasp, a psychological thriller starring Academy Award nominee Naomie Harris and Natalie Dormer, which adapts the play by Morgan Lloyd Malcolm.
Written by Malcolm and directed by 2x BAFTA nominee Guillem Morales (Inside Number 9), in his English-language debut, the film will be released in theaters this summer.
In The Wasp, Heather (Harris) and Carla (Dormer) haven't seen each other since school. Their lives have taken very different paths – Carla lives a hand-to-mouth existence while Heather has a high-flying career, husband and a beautiful home. And yet, here they are in a café having tea and making awkward conversation. That is until Heather presents Carla with a bag containing a significant amount of cash and an unexpected proposition that will change their lives forever.
