Vivica A. Fox, Kevin Daniels, Mickey Rourke, Lamorne Morris To Star In Comedy ‘Not Another Church Movie’

Vivica A. Fox, Kevin Daniels, Mickey Rourke, and Lamorne Morris are starring in Monty the Dog Productions’ spoof-comedy NOT ANOTHER CHURCH MOVIE, written by Johnny Mack (WILD ‘N OUT).  The film is directed by Mack and James Michael Cummings (CITY ON A HILL). The film is currently scheduled for a Spring 2023 theatrical release.

NOT ANOTHER CHURCH MOVIE is a wild ride through the fabulous world of Taylor Pherry (Daniels), an ambitious young man given a holy mission from God Himself: to tell his family’s stories and inspire his community. His only concern? His family and community. What he doesn't know is that the Devil (Rourke) has plans of his own.

Fox, best known for her roles in INDEPENDENCE DAY, SET IT OFF and KILL BILL, portrays woke Judge Loreal Maybelline. Daniels, a Juilliard graduate, was most recently seen as Wayne Fontaine in the Fox series THE BIG LEAP.  He is also known for SIRENS, COUNCIL OF DADS, WHY WOMEN KILL, ATYPICAL, LADDER 49 and played ‘Longinus’ on the ABC series MODERN FAMILY. Rourke is an iconic film actor who was an Oscar nominee for THE WRESTLER who burst onto the screen in 1982 in Barry Levinson's classic DINER.  Also featured in the film are comedy legends Tisha Campbell, Jasmine Guy, and Kyla Pratt.

"The parody comedy genre is making a huge comeback and NOT ANOTHER CHURCH MOVIE is stepping up to lead the charge," says Cummings. “Mack’s interpretation of outlandish comedies pays homage to such well-known movies, including the works of Keenan Ivory Wayans, Robert Townsend and Tyler Perry.”

NOT ANOTHER CHURCH MOVIE is produced by James Michael Cummings, Jim Cardwell, and Paul Saleba. Executive producer is Valerie McCaffrey.
