New Trailer & Poster To Comedy-Drama ‘Death Of A Telemarketer’ Starring Lamorne Morris
Vertical Entertainment has released a trailer and poster for its upcoming comedy-drama “Death of a Telemarketer,” written and directed by Khaled Ridgeway and starring Lamorne Morris, Alisha Wainwright, Haley Joel Osment & Jackie Earle Haley.
The film had its world premiere at 2020 American Black Film Festival (ABFF) Virtual Edition, where it was voted fan favorite. The film will hit theaters and VOD December 3, 2021
Ace telemarketer Kasey (Lamorne Morris) is in a close sales contest with newbie employee, Barry (Woody McClain), and must score a big sale by midnight or he’ll lose the largest commission to date. Out of desperation, Kasey waits until everyone leaves the office and finds the Do Not Call list. He thinks he’s found the perfect mark, but instead finds himself held hostage and at the mercy of Asa (Jackie Earle Haley), the man he tried to swindle. Now Kasey must pass Asa’s twisted test on ethics if he wants to live to sell another day.
The film co-stars Matt McGorry, Gil Ozeri, Woody McClain, Sujata Day, David So, Ian Verdun, Gwen Gottlieb and Starletta DuPois.
Producing the film are Datari Turner, Meagan Good and James J. Yi.

A recent grad from USC Cinematic Arts, Ridgeway’s previous works were the short films Night Diner (2019), and Bullied (2016).
