Trailer To Alex Garland's New Horror Film ‘Men’

A24 has released the trailer to writer-director Alex Garland's new horror film, Men, starring Academy Award nominee Jessie Buckley (The Lost Daughter), Rory Kinnear (“No Time to Die,” “Years and Years”), and Paapa Essiedu (“I May Destroy You”). MEN will be released theatrically on May 20.

In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper (Jessie Buckley) retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to have found a place to heal. But someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread becomes a fully-formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears in visionary filmmaker Alex Garland's feverish, shape-shifting new horror film.

Buckley received her first career Oscar nomination as a supporting actress in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s “The Lost Daughter.”

“Men” is Garland’s first feature after 2018’s “Annihilation” and follows his FX mini-series “Devs.” He made his directorial debut at the studio with 2014’s “Ex Machina” which starred Domhnall Gleeson, Alicia Vikander and Oscar Issac. Garland’s other works include “The Beach” (writing the novel, adapted for the 2000 Leonardo DiCaprio-starring film), “Dredd,” “Never Let Me Go” and “28 Days Later.

“Men” is produced by Eli Bush, as well as Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from production company DNA Films.
