Trailer to Lee Daniels’ The Deliverance
Netflix has released the trailer to Academy Award nominated director Lee Daniels’ upcoming film The Deliverance, starring Oscar nominee Andra Day, Oscar nominee Glenn Close, Oscar winner Mo’Nique, Anthony B. Jenkins, Miss Lawrence, Demi Singleton, Tasha Smith, with Omar Epps, Caleb McLaughlin, and Oscar nominee Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor.
Written by David Coggeshall and Elijah Bynum, the film hits Select Theaters August 16, 2024, then on Netflix August 30, 2024
Inspired by a true story, the film centers on Ebony Jackson, a struggling single mother fighting her personal demons. She moves her family into a new home for a fresh start. But when strange occurrences inside the home raise the suspicions of Child Protective Services and threaten to tear the family apart, Ebony soon finds herself locked in a battle for her life and the souls of her children.
The film was produced by Lee Daniels, Tucker Tooley, Pamela Oas Williams, Jackson Nguyen, Todd Crites with Jahil Fisher, Simone Sheffield, Jeremy Green serving as co-producers.
