Trailer To Onyx Collective’s Reasonable Doubt

Onyx Collective has released the trailer to its upcoming sexy, cool legal drama REASONABLE DOUBT, premiering on Hulu on September 27th.

REASONABLE DOUBT follows a high-powered criminal defense attorney from Los Angeles, Jacqueline “Jax” Stewart, as she fiercely bucks the justice system through wild interpretations of the law and sometimes questionable ethics, all while trying to deal with a failing marriage and the pitfalls of motherhood. It’s the Onyx Collective’s first scripted series since they launched, and it stars breakout talent Emayatzy Corinealdi, along with Michael Ealy, Sean Patrick Thomas, McKinley Freeman, TJ Mixson, Aderinsola Olabode, Tim Jo and Angela Grovey.

Executive produced by Kerry Washington (who also directs the first episode) and Larry Wilmore, with Raamala Mohammad (Little Fires EverywhereScandal) serving as Showrunner, REASONABLE DOUBT is an excitingly sexy and powerful blend of the top-rated seriesSCANDAL and HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER.

The series is incredibly diverse, not only in front of the camera but behind the scenes, as each episode is directed by Black directors and written by an all-Black writers' room. In addition, each episode title is inspired by Jay-Z’s debut album, Reasonable Doubt, which inspired the series title. The show features a score of contemporary and classic hip-hop, R&B, and neo-soul music composed by Adrian Younge and Ali Shaheed Muhammad (Luke Cage).
