Trailer to Raven Jackson’s All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt
A24 has released the trailer to Raven Jackson's directorial debut ALL DIRT ROADS TASTE OF SALT. The film was met with great acclaim at this year's Sundance Film Festival, and will continue its festival run at New York Film Festival this fall.
Starring Charleen McClure, Moses Ingram, Reginald Helms Jr., Zainab Jah, with Sheila Atim and Chris Chalk, the film was produced by Barry Jenkins, Adele Romanski, Mark Ceryak, and Maria Altamirano.
Tender caresses and enveloping embraces are portals into the life of Mack, a Black woman in Mississippi. Winding through the anticipation, love, and heartbreak she experiences from childhood to adulthood, the expressionist journey is an ode to connection — with loved ones and with place.
Raven Jackson is an award-winning filmmaker, poet, and photographer from Tennessee. A Cinereach and SFFILM grantee, her work often explores indefinable experiences and emotions, as well as the body’s relationship to nature, and has screened at San Sebastián, Metrograph, Indie Memphis, BAM, and elsewhere. Her short films Nettles and A Guide to Breathing Underwater are streaming on the Criterion Channel.
