Amazon MGM Studios and Miramax has released the trailer to The Beekeeper, directed by David Ayer from a script written by Kurt Wimmer. The film stars Jason Statham, Phylicia Rashad, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Josh Hutcherson, Bobby Naderi, Minnie Driver, and Jeremy Irons. The Beekeeper hits theaters on Jan 12, 2024.
In The Beekeeper, "Mr. Clay" (Statham) is a former operative of a clandestine organization called "Beekeepers". After his friend and neighbor (Rashad) dies by suicide after falling for a phishing scam, Mr. Clay sets out to exact revenge against the company responsible.
The film is produced by Bill Block, Statham, Ayer, Cedar Park Studios’ Chris Long and Wimmer. Andrew Golov, Thom Zadra and Mark Birmingham are executive producers.
