Trailer To The Life Ahead Starring Sophia Loren And Newcomer Ibrahima Gueye
Netflix has released the official trailer for the Italian drama The Life Ahead, starring screen legend Sophia Loren and newcomer Ibrahima Gueye. Adapted from author Romain Gary‘s 1986 novel The Life Before Us, the film is directed by Edoardo Ponti from a script from Ugo Chiti. The Life Ahead comes to Netflix on November 13.
In seaside Italy, a Holocaust survivor with a daycare business, Madame Rosa (Loren), takes in 12-year-old street kid Momo, the boy who recently robbed her. The two loners become each other’s protectors, anchoring an unconventional family.
The trailer also features original song contender “lo Si (Seen)” written by Diane Warren and performed by Italian superstar Laura Pausini.
