Marvel recently premiered its first animated series on Disney+, What If...?, which reimagines famous events from films in the MCU, creating a multiverse of infinite possibilities. In this exciting and imaginative new series, the late Chadwick Boseman will make his final performance as 'T'Challa' this Wednesday, August 18th.

The new series, directed by Bryan Andrews with AC Bradley as head writer, features signature MCU action with a curious twist. Marvel Studios’ first-ever animated series launched on Disney+ on Wednesday, August 11.

Boseman died as a result of complications related to colon cancer on August 28, 2020. He achieved international fame for playing superhero Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) from 2016 to 2019. He appeared in four MCU films (Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame)

“What If… ?” features fan-favorite characters, including Peggy Carter, T’Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor and more.

Boseman’s episode will revolve around T’Challa being abducted by the Reavers that took Peter Quill (Star-Lord) in The Guardians of the Galaxy franchise. Every story in the show will be non-canonical, as the stories will feature some wildly different outcomes from their actual events in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
