First Look At Nicole Ari Parker In Season 8 Of ‘Chicago P.D.’
NBC has released photos of Season 8 of Dick Wolf’s drama series Chicago P.D., which introduces Nicole Ari Parker in her recurring role as Deputy Superintendent Samantha Miller. Chicago P.D., Season 8 Premiere, Wednesday, November 11, 10/9c, NBC
From Atlanta originally, Miller is a progressive, ardent proponent of police reform. She wants to help Voight (Jason Beghe) and Intelligence adapt to the new reality but will not tolerate breaches of the new police guidelines and protocols.
A spinoff from Chicago Fire, Chicago P.D., which has been renewed for three more seasons, revolves around members of the Chicago Police Department run by central character Detective Sergeant Hank Voight.
The cast includes Jason Beghe, Amy Morton, Jesse Lee Soffer, Patrick John Flueger, Marina Squerciati, LaRoyce Hawkins, and Tracy Spiridakos.
In Episode 1 of Season 8, The team responds to the shooting of a 5-year-old girl and they must work the case while facing new obstacles that come from the heightened attention on police reform. Atwater is targeted by a group of officers who want to hurt him for standing against the blue wall. Voight questions whether he’s cut out for a new form of policing as he manages oversight from the CPD’s deputy superintendent.
