Gugu Mbatha-Raw To Star In Apple TV+ Series ‘Surface’

Deadline is reporting that Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The Morning Show, Loki, Misbehaviour) is set to star in Surface, Apple TV+’s new psychological thriller series from High Fidelity co-creator and executive producer Veronica West.

Surface is an eight-part series created and written by West, who will executive produce alongside Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter of Hello Sunshine. Mbatha-Raw will also co-executive produce the series.

Production is expected to begin next year. The series is produced by Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and Apple Studios.

Mbatha-Raw, who played Hannah Shoenfeld alongside Witherspoon in The Morning Show, recently starred in Misbehaviour alongside Keira Knightley and in Jessica Swale’s Summerland with Gemma Arterton and is set to star in Disney+’s Loki.
