New Trailer, Key Art & New Images For Disney+ Series The Mandalorian Season 2
Today, Disney+ shared the new trailer, key art and new images from the highly anticipated second season of Lucasfilm’s critically acclaimed series, “The Mandalorian.” The new season premieres Friday, October 30, streaming only on Disney+.
The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.
“The Mandalorian” stars Pedro Pascal in the title role as a lone Mandalorian gunfighter, alongside Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Directors for the new season include Jon Favreau, Dave Filoni, Bryce Dallas Howard, Rick Famuyiwa, Carl Weathers, Peyton Reed and Robert Rodriguez. Showrunner Jon Favreau serves as executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist serving as co-executive producer.
Temuera Morrison is joining the second season as Boba Fett. The actor previously played Jango Fett and his clone troopers in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones, as well as the clone troopers in Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith.
It was also previously announced that Michael Biehn is playing what is said to be a bounty hunter, and Rosario Dawson is expected to play fan-favorite character Ahsoka Tano.
The Mandalorian is written and executive produced by Jon Favreau, with Dave Filoni (Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels) directing the first episode and serving as executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson.
The first season is officially described as follows:
“After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. ‘The Mandalorian’ is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. We follow the travails of a lone gunfighter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
