On July 9, BET+ will air the mid-season finale to Tyler Perry’s Bruh, which tracks the story of four thirty-something year old friends in present-day Atlanta, trying to find themselves as men and navigate life, careers and courtship. Finding romance has been a constant bump in the road for the guys. In next week’s episode, viewers will see the bruh’s dating woes get even messier; while the most unlikely of the foursome may have found a new love interest that could turn his life around.

The dramedy follows four longtime friends as they navigate life and relationships through the strength of their brother-like bond. In a society where companionship between men of color is often misjudged and misrepresented, TYLER PERRY’S BRUH depicts a healthy image of black brotherhood; embracing vulnerability without playing on stereotypical hypermasculinity.

In the previous episode, we witness Mike open up about feelings he has developed for Pam, who is supposed to be just a casual hookup. While out with the guys, he spots Pam on a date with another man. Jealous and a little tipsy, Mike interrupts the rendezvous. To avoid the situation escalating, Tom intervenes and takes Mike home, but not before Pam reminds him that she’s a free agent and will see whomever she pleases.

After diffusing the situation with Mike, we see Tom arrive at his apartment to find his workplace-fling-gone-wrong, Valerie, waiting by the door. He recently swore off sex, but she makes a last-ditch effort to get him to let her in. Ever the nice guy, he lets her down easy, but it doesn’t seem like he’s seen the last of her.

Bill has been trying to rekindle romance with his currently engaged ex-girlfriend, Regina. To definitively shut down his attempts, Regina bumps up her wedding date with fiancé, Peter. One too many drinks at her bachelorette party lands her and Bill in a restroom together in what could put the two in a compromising position.

Since severing his business partnership with Leon, things are looking up for John. He forfeited the drug money for Level 28, mended fences with the bruhs and met a female contractor that has him thinking about building a relationship. Will he pursue her or allow his ego to talk him out of it?

How will Mike rebound from Pam’s rejection? Does Tom have a soft spot for Valerie? Is Bill moving closer to winning Regina back? Don’t miss the mid-season finale of "Tyler Perry’s BRUH" Thursday, July 9 on BET+.

The cast of TYLER PERRY’S BRUH stars Barry Brewer as Jonathan “John” Watts, Mahdi Cocci as Tom Brooks, Phillip Mullings Jr as Mike Alexander and Monti Washington as Bill Frazier.
