Watch Simone Missick In Clip To New ‘All Rise’ Episode (‘Almost The Meteor’)

CBS has released a powerful sneak peek to an upcoming “All Rise” episode, airing on Monday, Jan. 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT), on the CBS Television Network. The cast includes Simone Missick, Wilson Bethel, Jessica Camacho, J. Alex Brinson, Ruthie Ann Miles, Lindsay Mendez, Marg Helgenberger, and Lindsey Gort.

Titled "Almost the Meteor," Judge Lola Carmichael (Simone Missick), who is on maternity leave, tells her husband about how she sometimes worries about the challenges their newborn daughter, Bailey, will face in the future as a Black teen and woman. 

Her worries are in part sparked by an incident explored earlier in the season. Judge Carmichael defused a situation at a Black Lives Matter protest in which a white officer pulled his gun on an unarmed Black teenage girl. When Carmichael steps in, the officer detains her, even though she tells him she is a judge. Outside of her courtroom, she is subject to the same discrimination and oppression faced by all Black Americans at various times throughout their lives.
