YouTube Announces 132 Black Creator and Artist Grant Recipients From Around The World
In celebration of black creatives from around the globe, and their contributions to music, entertainment, beauty, science, wellness and much more, YouTube is proud to announce its #YouTubeBlackVoices Creator Class of 2021. I’d love to work with you on a story on today’s announcement for your culture section.
The class consists of 132 Black creators and artists from as far as Brazil, Kenya, Nigeria and South Africa, with 32 creators from the United States. Participants will benefit from the #YouTubeBlackVoicesFund, a grant program dedicated to investing in Black creators and artists.
The program will provide them with additional resources to grow their voices and YouTube channels with training workshops, funding, and partner support. In years to come, YouTube’s goal is to invest in the content development of 500+ Black creators and artists worldwide.
For an upcoming story, I’d be happy to connect you with nominated creators like Kelly Stamps or Tarek Ali, who can share their personal experience about this exciting initiative. Additional information on the #YouTubeBlack Voices Creator Class can also be found here.
